3 bedroom, extra wide (12 foot) caravan
Highest grade available at Primrose Valley
Located on Haven’s flagship site at Primrose valley. This is the prime site on Yorkshire’s coast, and has just undergone a £6M improvement scheme, including pool areas for all ages.
There are over 30 different water features to explore, such as slides, fountains and SplashZone activities for kids of all ages. An exhilarating mix of water, play, and fun experiences, for all the family. On selected days, you can hire jet propelled water scooters, which have to be tried, to be believed. Or, just come and relax on one of the bubble pools.
You can enjoy the thrill of the flumes at the other indoor pool, or during peak season swim and bask in the sun at the outdoor pool.
Some pools feature overlooking bar areas for Mum & Dad, whilst the kids play, under the supervision of qualified lifeguards
Most facilities are accessed via a Funworks pass. These are purchased from the site directly. We have shown the maximum prices, against our hire charges, so that you see the full cost at a glance. You don’t have to purchase Funworks passes, but we would recommend that you do take advantage. There are a few facilities, such as swimming tuition, funfair, and boat hire that are not covered by the pass, but charges are reasonable.
The complex boasts 5 separate bar/club areas for your use, with varying degrees of activity! There is sure to be one that suits you. A full entertainment programme is provided, with admission covered by your Funworks pass.
The site has launderette facilities, and is serviced by public transport, every 30 minutes, with links to Bridlington, Filey and Scarborough. The ‘Primrose Puffer’ provides transport within the park, and passes by the entrance to our cul de sac.
There is a Fish shop, a Burger King, a Chinese restaurant & takeaway, a supermarket, and even a bookmakers, all within the complex. If that’s not enough, then Filey is a pleasant 20-minute walk, along the sea front. The site also has a funfair, a boating lake, and fishing, and there’s a golf course next door. The on-site pub serves good food, and the prices are fair.
Our caravan is located at the quieter end of the park, so that you’re not disturbed late at night. The aqua bar / pool and the boating lake are about 5-10 minutes walk away. The main clubs are about 10-15 minutes walk, as is the sea. We are situated on a private cul de sac, with tarmac roads, and night lighting. The caravans here are spaced further apart, and it’s generally much more pleasant. In fact, we pay nearly £1000 per year extra, over and above a standard pitch, just to have this setting. Don’t let the walking distance put you off - you can get caravans nearer to the clubs etc, but you won’t get any peace, as everyone has to walk past your caravan, just to get to theirs. We have virtually no passing traffic – just the few others who share our cul-de-sac.
Simply the best – our caravan is a top of the range “Olympic Gold Standard” (Haven’s top rating), 3 bedroom, 37’ x 12’ (extra wide) on one of the site’s most expensive plots. To give you an idea of the luxury on offer, this caravan was fully booked, throughout August 2006, at £895 per week. It was brand new, in 2004, and is still like new. It is fully cleaned, prior to your arrival.
If you’ve ever been to a holiday park, even to Primrose Valley, then you’ll probably have memories of caravans packed together, with muddy wheel tracks between them. Our caravan has plenty of space around it, and a tarmac drive / parking area, right alongside.
The caravan is divided into 3 distinct areas, for maximum comfort:
1 A central living area (lounge, diner, kitchen) with double french doors. The lounge area is extremely comfortable.
2 Kids / guests bedroom area, with 2 twin rooms, wardrobes, and a bathroom (with shower)
3 En-suite master bedroom, at the other end of the caravan. This has a double wardrobe, and a dressing area. It also has a dressing table, complete with a fitted hair dryer. The en-suite bathroom includes a hip bath, with shower over
Angled fireplace in lounge. TV with DVD/CD player built in.
Extending dining table with four upholstered chairs, and 2 stools
Integrated fridge, full-size freezer, microwave, full-size oven, and even an ironing board and iron.
Duvets and pillows provided, for all beds. You’ll need to bring your own duvet covers, sheets, and pillow cases. Or you can hire them direct from the site, for £24 per week, for the complete caravan (2006 prices).
Bed-head reading lights to all bedrooms
Electric sockets in all rooms (except bathrooms)
Lounge bed facility, for additional guests, making 8 berths in total
All rooms have double glazing, and central heating radiators
Constant hot water available
Our caravan has full mains supply, for gas / electricity / water. These are all included in the price you pay. If the weather turns cooler, you will appreciate the double glazing, and central heating, to all rooms. Unlike many caravans, our gas can’t run out, as it’s not coming from a bottle.
The 2 twin rooms have proper beds, but they can be folded up, or moved. This gives you the flexibility of pushing 2 together, if your guests are a couple. Alternatively, you can fold one away, to make room for a folding cot, or just t more floor space. If there are 2 couples, one pair get the en-suite at one end, the other pair can use both twin rooms, one as a double, and the other as a dressing room. Then, in effect, you’ve got 2 very separate en-suite double rooms. Take a look at the layout plan.
What do you need to bring with you?
Towels, tea-towels, and bed linen (sheets, duvet covers, pillow cases).
Basic supplies, washing up liquid, kitchen roll, toilet paper, toiletries etc. Tea, coffee, sugar, milk, plus anything you don’t want to have to buy whilst on-site. A full list of the inventory is available.
Possibly a few DVDs and CDs
When you arrive, take time to visit the 2 main club areas, to find out the week’s programme, for each club and pool area. This will enable you to get the most out of your holiday.
The balance of the holiday price must be paid, in full, 8 weeks before the commencement date. If the balance is not paid on time, we reserve the right to (at our discretion) relet the caravan (and keep your deposit)
When we hand over the keys, you will need to pay an additional £50 in cash. This is a returnable deposit, to cover loss / damage. Assuming there are no problems, we will refund this, in cash, at the end of your stay. We do ask that you respect that this is a privately owned, top of the range caravan. Believe us, it is not the run of the mill standard hire caravan.
The park’s conditions prevent us hiring to single sex parties, and to groups of young people (U21). The park actively check that these conditions are adhered to, and will evict groups not complying. The caravan is probably more suited to families, or to 2/3 couples sharing.
Holidays commencing on a Friday start at 4PM. Holidays commencing on a Saturday start at 2PM. However, our carvan is regularly ready earlier - we recommend that you arrive a couple of hours early, and call our mobile. If we are ready, we'll let you in early, if not, you can familiarise yourselves with some of the site's facilities.
Holidays ending on a Friday end at 2PM. Holidays ending on a Saturday end at 10AM. You must vacate on time, to allow us time to clean the caravan, ready for the next hirers.
